Another concise book from Pagan Portals packed full of relevant information. This book is a perfect quick reference to all types of candle magic, useful for the beginner to get a fundamental start, to the more experienced practitioner wanting to fact check.

Divided into four sections, the first informs the reader of how do undertake candle spells, what equipment is needed, together with chapters on utilising colour magic, oils, timings for casting, to name but a few.

The second section discusses ritual and ceremonies, whilst the third discusses the use of meditation, divination. Lastly, the fourth section introduces the reader to the history of candle making, chandlery – this was originally a person’s job in a wealthy medieval household who was responsible for wax and candles, as well as the room in which the candles were kept. With a chapter on safety.

A good basic introduction to this subject.
