Odin, Meeting the Norse all-Father is an excellent framework for understanding the basics of everything Odin. Anyone, Pagan, Heathen, scholar, or not, will find this book a useful guide packed with new and refreshing information. Like all the other Pagan Portals titles by Moon Books, this work is relatively short, but don’t let this fool you – within the covers you will find everything you need to inform your Norse pagan practice and more. Its perfect as a handy reference guide, plus its quick to read, making it an ideal study companion. The writing style is clear and accessible, and complete with a wealth of exemplary solid research to back up every statement made, like all of Morgan Daimler’s books.
Towards the back of the book the reader will learn about current Heathenry, and principles of Odin worship, based on the author’s first-hand experiences with the deity. I enjoyed the poetry, ideas for offerings, and Runic work. This is to me, the most personal and because of that, the most interesting part of the book. Daimler’s incredible insight into modern Paganism and our relationships with deities, makes her a force to be reckoned with.

Pagan Portals – Odin by Morgan Daimler
Known by many names and with a wide array of characteristics Odin is a God who many people believe is just as active in the world today as he was a thousand years ago and more. A god of poetry he inspires us to create. A god of magic he teaches us to find our own power. A god of wisdom he challenges us to learn all we can. In this book you will find some of Odin’s stories and history as well as anecdotes of what it can be like to honor him in the modern world.
