The forces of the feminine and masculine drives the powers of the universal energy we call the Goddess and God. They are a duality in constant opposition, yet one cannot exist without the other, an eternal struggle in search for perfect balance and harmony. They can be understood as the philosophical interaction between the light and dark of Shekinah and Lilith, the life and death of Ishtar and Ereshkigal, the Heaven and Earth of Shiva and Shakti and the good and evil of Christ and the Devil.
Our reality is a philosophy, a transfer of energy from thought into action. Gods and Goddesses are a philosophy, the spiritual and physical are a philosophy, druidism and witchcraft are a philosophy. All magick is a philosophy. Philosophy is a way of life, a reality that is always changing into something else, something new.
Philosophy means a love of wisdom and understanding.

Wishing to finally put to rest the death of my girlfriend in a motorbike accident twenty years earlier, I enrolled in a philosophy course at night school. I had bottled up my grief for two decades only for it to manifest in an unexpected way that almost caused me to leave my degree course in the final year, wasting nearly three years of study and hard work. It was a revelation when I discovered at 40 years old that I was not only a physical being but a spiritual one too. The floodgates opened and the feminine aspect within me was awakened. The gentle voice of reason from a feminine viewpoint taught me that using aggression to fight my battles had consequences but by solving issues with diplomacy was less painful. If diplomacy was not working, I switch to philosophy. I will always remember the footballer and a hero of mine, Eric Cantona when harassed by the press after his court case. When questioned why he Kung Fu kicked an opposition supporter in 1995, he answered ‘When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea’. The press had no answer and left him to continue on his way.
If they can’t see reason in diplomacy, baffle them with philosophy. It works for me.
