Katie Ness is a writer, historian and Ayurvedic yoga teacher originally from Lancashire but resides in London.

She has a BA Hons degree in Fine Art with UCLAN and level 4 accreditations in Prehistoric Art and The History of Folklore with Oxford University. She also has a wealth of knowledge on Yoga history, Vedic philosophy, Shaktism, Sanskrit, ancient Hindu poetry & art with the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. Her MA is on the cards.

As a solitary Hedge Witch she practices folk magick, she also practices Bhakti yoga of the Shakti tradition and is an initiated Priestess.

She’s written for a variety of magazines such as Kindred Spirit, Witches Magazine, Femme Occulte, Occulture, Haunted Magazine, Feminine Macabre, Girl God Books and more.

Her first book with Moon Books is entitled “Word Witchery: Walking the Path of the Poetry Priestess”.

She is an avid traveller, having visited 25 countries so far: Bali, Cyprus & Sardinia being her favourites. In her free time she loves to paint, write poetry, sing Kirtan, cast spells and daydream. She is currently learning to play ancient Greek melodies on the Lyre harp. IG @katie_wild_witch
