Runes are a subject that is very close to my heart, they are a tool to aid with every situation, an alphabet, and are both intuitive spiritual connectors to our inner selves. But let’s face it, there are dozens of books about Runes, all offering the same basic information about how to read an interpret them, what makes Harmonia Saille’s book unique, though, is her instinctual guidance into making profound spiritual connections with each rune, allowing a more innate understanding.

Having read many books on Runes, I was impressed by the accuracy of the historical information offered and authenticity of the sources Saille uses. The author’s interpretation of various ritual elements including Galdr, is refreshing and instructive, and her basic overview of the mythology offers a solid grounding from which to dive deeper if they wish.

I was particularly pleased to see Saille offer detailed instruction on how to make your own Runes, including inscribing, purifying and empowering them, this makes them completely personal to their creator; something which is close to my heart, and a pursuit that I recommend every serious Rune practitioner do for themselves.

The book is written as an introduction to Runes and is a very accessible and easy to follow guide for anyone new to this form of divination and magic.
