Meet the author is a series of articles intended to introduce you to our wonderful authors. Learn about the books they’ve written, the spiritual pathways they’ve traversed and some fun little tidbits… introducing Rachel S Roberts.

Tell us a bit about yourself…
Hi, I’m Rachel, born and bred in North Wales, United Kingdom. I adore flowers and reading, dancing and music, Italian food and travelling. I have been a belly dance and dance meditation teacher for 20 years this year (2026) and have worked in the heritage sector for over a decade, primarily working as part of various learning teams in stately homes, castles and museums. I have always loved history and spirituality and was searching for a way to combine the two and share the healing and empowerment both have offered me, with as many people as possible, internationally. Writing books was my answer, and so here I am now as a Moon Books author! As well as writing and dancing, I am also a flower essence coach and consultant and guide women 121 in healing with flowers.
What books have you written?
Lupa, She-Wolf of Rome, Mother of Destiny.
Wolf. How to Embody Your Inner Wolf.
Pantheon. The Romans.
Flora. Roman Goddess of Flowers
How would you describe your spiritual pathway?
Ever evolving. Having grown up with strict guidelines about what I should believe, which caused me to feel wrong when I didn’t conform, I now offer myself the gift of allowance; allowance to be where I am without judgment, conditions or limitations, and most definitely without suffocating labels or expectations. I will not be tomorrow what I am today; I will have grown and changed, as all things do. I also don’t like to apply limitations to the divine by giving it a label or limiting its possibilities and potential. I honestly believe it is all possible. I do, however, believe in one thread or essence that links everything together, and that is love (and I also love nature BIG time).
What is something fun and quirky about yourself?
I absolutely adore singing, and if you ever get into the car with me, it will turn into Disney car karaoke! When I was young, I loved to put on full theatrical singing performances for my friends and family, and there is video evidence of a cute 8-year-old me as Aladdin riding a magic carpet around the living room. I do still sometimes sing for students in guided meditations and retreats (not dressed as Aladdin!).

What tips do you have for folk beginning their spiritual journey?
You never, ever stop learning or growing, so take off the pressure to be perfect or always right! Also, keep to your lane and listen to your body, instinct, heart and soul first and foremost so that you can practice authentically and in a way that truly fulfils you. Get curious, try things out, explore and experiment and know that it’s not the end of the world if something isn’t for you, pivoting is ok – you will find that things that feel really good in your body and light you up – trust that feeling of belonging!
Which deity or deities would you love to have dinner with?
Gosh, I think it would be a disaster because I am so clumsy (I have mild dyspraxia), I would get spaghetti down my front and knock the drinks over! So, really, only deities from my council, Minerva, Lupa, Apollo, Flora, Sekhmet, Freya, and Mars, because they know me well and would just roll their eyes when I fall over my chair!
What magical items would you take with you if you had to live on an island for a year?
A very large magical book that contained all the books ever written in – I would have to have something to read!!
Maybe a cauldron that could source and make food for me?
But the most magical item I would need, that I truly can’t live without, is my bed. I would definitely need that comfort, and isn’t sleep truly something magical?
