What books have you written?

I have had the privilege to work with several publishers, and as of this writing, I have had six books and an oracle deck published. For Moon Books thus far, aside from all of my participation in a variety of anthologies, I’ve written “Pagan Portals – Rhiannon: Great Queen of the Celtic Britons” and “Pagan Portals – Blodeuwedd: Welsh Goddess of Seasonal Sovereignty” – which have also been published together in a deluxe hardcover special edition for the Moon Books “Duets” series. I have two more works in progress for Moon Books, and I am looking forward to sharing them!

How would you describe your spiritual pathway?

I’ve been walking a Pagan path since 1986. I began with a self-dedication to Dianic Wicca, was initiated into a TBW-based coven in NYC in the late 80s, before embarking upon a Welsh-centered Celtic polytheistic path that ultimately led to my inadvertent founding of the Sisterhood of Avalon in 1995. In addition to my almost 40 years in service as an Avalonian Priestess, I became an Awenydd Druid of the Anglesey Druid Order in 2024. Along the way, I have studied and engaged with many different aspects of the Western Magical Tradition – including Hermeticism, QBLH, tarot, astrology, and magical herbalism. I am definitely in my bardic era these days, continuing to immerse myself in lore while expanding my life-long explorations of sacred chant and song.

What is something fun and quirky about yourself?

I am a neurospicy Gen X’er, who was a nerd – a GIRL nerd, even! – before it was cool. My main fandom these days is Tolkien, but from childhood, I have always loved (and continue to love) science fiction and fantasy, D&D, comics and graphic novels, anime, and of course, all things Arthurian!

What tips do you have for folk beginning their spiritual journey?

Read widely to develop discernment in your sources. Practice regularly to develop experience with your craft. Devote sincerely to develop relationship with your Gods.

Which deity or deities would you love to have dinner with?

I think dinner with Ceridwen would be a good time – she’s always got something brewing, and when it comes to deep conversation and tales well told… who else to turn to but the Mother of Awen, herself?

What magical items would you take with you if you had to live on an island for a year?

While the island itself carries enormous magical and spiritual implications for me in my Avalonian work, I would also bring my ritual cauldron, my apple branch affixed with nine silver bells, and my harp. Sounds like bliss… when do I leave?!?
